JEFF BERKUS
Steve Berkus
After graduating from the Construction Engineering Department at Arizona State University, Steve became a licensed California contractor in 1987. He is the recipient of national recognition and awards for projects built, as well as LEED “Platinum” certifications for two developments; one being among the first in the nation for Multi-Family. Additionally, Steve has owned and operated successful building companies in California, Colorado and Hawaii, and in 2009, post Katrina, after being based in Mississippi and Louisiana, he travelled every mile of coastline from Nantucket, MA to South Padre, TX. Steve’s “boots on the ground” approach has educated, informed, and prepared him for his groundbreaking work with Resilient Building Systems. His goal is to build smarter, stronger, faster, more cost effective, with fewer defects and substantially and materially raise the bar in residential—and eventually commercial—building. Resilient Building Systems is the fruits of these efforts.
