RBS is a complete program of cutting edge materials. Combined with proven means and methods, a near-site wall building process allows multiple facades to be assembled with ecient concrete pours and moisture sealing technology to eliminate risk of mold damage. The system can be licensed as a kit that includes materials, methodology, and alliances to simplify the building process. The sandwich wall assembly of an interior steel frame, rigid insulation, reinforced concrete exterior of an RBS home is engineered to withstand 200 MPH (258 w/ factor of safety) winds. The roof is reinforced concrete on a steel deck. Traditional homes, to meet code, are constructed of wood for 130 MPH wind. Even fortified wood custom homes are challenged to withstand higher MPH forces, often peaking at 160 MPH. Wood molds and mildews and is not resistant to insects. Wood frames need exterior cladding, such as siding or plaster, that require maintenance, and create vulnerabilities to water penetration.

RBS homes are pre-qualified by Lloyds of London for comprehensive private insurance at more competitive rates for better coverage. Like nationalized healthcare, with allowance of pre-existing conditions, public insurance is great, but not sustainable. Therefore, the healthcare premiums, for more restrictive coverages, continue to become more and more expensive. But, if there is a private option for the fit/healthy minded and acting individual, with better coverage at competitive rates, this would allow the public system to distill down their exposure and to focus and find the solution for the more needy. The RBS homeowner will still pay the increased taxes for the subsidies for the public insurance, but this is oset by lower cost/ better coverage, insurance. It’s the peace of mind proposition.

RBS wall frames are built in a controlled environment; weather/variability of trades are not factors. The combination of high temperature and high humidity, or Heat Index makes for challenging working conditions. High temperatures, high humidity, high winds and thunderstorms are common in the targeted low-lying coastal zones. Furthermore, winters are typically wetter and colder so building the framed walls in a controlled environment avoids the trials and tribulations of the variable weather.

RBS homes are resistant to mold, mildew and or termites. Using the RBS branded special very low permeability concrete design mix that will restrict the migration of moisture, the the closed cell rigid insulation is not permeable, and the drywall is mold and mildew resistant. We also employ a mechanical system that is ductless which is not prone to the collection of airborne dust particles, a separate dehumidifier that controls the indoor moisture (every time you open a door and or window, moisture is introduced) and ventilation for air exchanges and balancing pressures.
